Suggestions for appraisals in the Cincinnati area?

Hello everybody! Looking for some advice to help some family out. Long story short, my wife's aunt died a few months back. Her husband died approximately 20 years ago and the family came upon a bunch of cards (apologies that they aren't pre-war but figured this was the best forum/board for the inquiry) that belonged to him while going through the house. They say he had them since he was a kid but who knows because we've all heard that before.

They are looking for an appraisal on the cards for estate value purposes and I'm assuming may try to eventually sell them, not sure on that aspect yet. They live in Cincinnati so I'm looking for any recommendations/suggestions of honest and reliable appraisers/dealers/auction houses/etc you all may know in that immediate area who can actually see and handle the cards in person as the scans certainly aren't the best in my opinion to determine anything. I'm here in the DC area and can't get out there anytime soon to look at them.

My wife's other aunt just sent a bunch of scans using something called TurboScan of some of the cards and they are still going through the rest which sounds like it might be another couple hundred cards. Some of the cards look legit for certain, others I'm unsure as the backs on some look pretty white but I'm not sure if that's a result of whatever scanner they used.

Thanks for the help!

As of right now, I've seen (and I apologize as they aren't pre-war) the below in the scans. All Topps:

Berra ('57, '58)
Reese ('58)
Clemente ('57)
Koufax ('58)
Musial ('62)
Musial AS Selection ('58 x 4)
Ford ('56, '57, '58 x 2)
Ted Williams AS Selection ('58)
Sluggers Supreme Williams/Kluszewski ('58)
Ernie Banks ('57)
Ernie Banks AS Selection ('58x2)
Aaron AS Selection ('58x2)
Power Plus Banks/Aaron ('58)
Mantle ('56, '57, '58)
Mantle AS Selection ('58 x 3)
Jackie Robinson ('56 x 2)
Mays ('56, '58)
Mays AS Selection ('58)
Pride of N.L. Mays/Musial ('63 x 2)

Ideal Baseball Cards on the West Side would be my recommendation. They’re extremely knowledgeable, and I’ve always found them to be fair.

If the aunt wants to sell them, recommend sending into Greg Morris. Let them do the work.

X2 on Ideal. Mike is very knowledgeable and fair

Excellent, thanks guys!

If nothing else comes in overnight I'll likely give Mike at that shop a call and see if he'd be willing to at least evaluate the cards to verify authenticity. The fronts of some of these cards look great (aside from the '56 Mays where his teeth are colored in with blue ink) but the backs I'm not sure about.

Thanks again!

Maybe one of the reputable dealers that sets up at the Strongsville show might be from the Cincinnati area ? Don't know.

Contact Net54 member Chris Gamble (username Bumpus Jones). He buys and sells Reds memorabilia, and he octagonal travels to Cincinnati. In sure he would love looking at your items, buying some, and helping you sell some. He is an honest guy I met through this forum. He knows a bunch of Reds collectors, and who is invested in what era of play.

And if he can't do it, I bet 100% he knows just the person you are interested in.
