New autograph project, looking to buy Goal Line Art signed postcards!
I've started getting into football history more with my ongoing HOF trading card rookies project. Right now looking to only buy some cheap ones (20 and under.) Putting together a checklist right now but if anyone has any advice on some good articles on how to detect which football autos are good I'd appreciate it (there doesn't seem to be a book ala Baseball.)

I collected Goal Line postcards from the time they came out until the early 2000's. Each year I'd buy the set and then work to get each one signed. Back then, a lot of the guys would sign through the mail (TTM), either for free or for a small fee. I got Unitas, Grange, Baugh, Mean Joe, Hutson, Merlin Olsen, Staubach, Butkus, Campbell, Sayers, Landry and and many others that way. I have 138 signed through the class of '06. I got turned off when it became too expensive to get the new guys as they their cards were issued.
Bill Daniels (billdanielssports) and doublexvt are trusted eBay sellers. I am sure there are others. In general, there are probably less forgeries on Goal Line cards than other mediums, but you still need to know your signatures. Most guys always sign them in the same place each time. Good luck in your chase. |

Add that Main Line Autographs out of Pittsburgh is also a trusted seller. Lots listed on their website.

I have six of them I can sell you for $20 per. All of them also have their HOF induction year inscribed on them.
Charlie Joiner Kellen Winslow Dante Lavelli Marv Levy Fred Biletnikoff Bob Lilly I'll attach scans of a couple of them. |
I believe Lynn Swann will not sign these. I notice that as one of his exceptions for each show he does. If you look at the notice for the Chantilly show in two weeks. You will see him as a signer with that listed as a no no. You can probably use the link for the April show in the banner.
Here it is: Mr. Swann will not sign trading cards, Goal Line Art cards or unlicensed jerseys. HOF and MVP are the only inscriptions are available. |
Absolutely love the GAC's. I usually go on a binge of picking up about 4 or 5, as well as sending in 2 or 3 to have signed...then they go on the back burner for a time. Only so much collecting time and dollars to go around.
