BEWARE: SCAM ALERT - NET54 Fishing

Hi Group:

I just got somebody by the name of "Henry Robert" - email address: hr4593654@gmail.com

He reached out to me about the Groh Bat post I had listed that I was wanting to buy. He sent pictures of an actual Groh bat and initially sounded convincing.

However, he would not talk by phone, only by email and "whatsapp" - a phone app for texting, I think. He stated he did not have an ebay ID (hard to believe a collector without one), and wanted me to transfer half of money up front, and the other half upon receipt of the bat, via paypal.

His emails included bizarre statements like:

"I can scan a picture of the bat with my name , today date and i can also draft a term of contract as to fitness and merchantable quality of the bat placing it on the bat"

Just beware . . . he and others could be scanning net 54 posts and trying to scam others here . . . likely using a wide range of email addresses and names, just thought I would share.

I wouldn't put your email in your BST post as this allows these people easier access to fish you.

I sent you a legit message informing you of a Groh bat currently at auction. It isn't my bat or auction house and I have no vested interest. I'm obviously not the guy you reference, but if he sent you a picture, he might've pulled it from that auction listing.
