Grover Lowdermilk Autograph on Minneapolis Millers Snapshots?
5 Attachment(s)
Hi,
I have several photos of the 1920-21 Minneapolis Millers from Grover Lowdermilk's estate: Attachment 519094 Attachment 519095 The back of the photo of Lowdermilk batting looks like it might have a partial auto on the back where he id'd himself: Attachment 519096 I have found several examples, one from REA a long time ago that is a poor image: https://robertedwardauctions.com/auc...re-collection/ And these two: Attachment 519097 Attachment 519098 My question: Is the name on the back of my photo a partial auto? It looks to me like the same hand but I am not an autograph expert. Thanks in advance! |
Very cool, I have one rppc from his estate as well and was underbidder on a great rppc that had Grovers picture on the front and was addressed to his future wife with a note signed "GL"

Here is one of my Lowdermilk autos for you to compare with

I would say no. The photo appears to be a press style photo without any stampings. Last name only is just identification as to who it is.
