Congrats to the Maryland Mens Lacrosse Team - 2022 National Champions

Not sure how many here follow college lacrosse but the Terps went 18-0 on their way to winning the 2022 NCAA Mens Lacrosse Championship.

They almost lost it at the end but managed to hold on over Cornell 9-7.

I went to Cornell so I was watching the game. I wasn't surprised by the outcome although Cornell did make it a game late when it looked like Maryland started to tire. Their goalie came up big for them in the last 5 minutes with some key saves.

Big Red made it very uncomfortably close in the 4th. Logan McNaney made some amazing saves throughout the game and really saved the Maryland defense a number of times. Although his clearing passes frustrated me quite a bit.

Cheers,

Yes a great game and a great season for lacrosse.

I went to Rutgers and they made it to the final four for the first time in history.

I love lacrosse, but I can't figure out why the hell it never became a bigger sport than it did.

Congrats to Rutgers on a great season and their first final four.

Honestly, I had never seen a lacrosse game before this championship.

I came away stunned at how physical it is.

It is a very physical sport and one has to be at a high rate of condition to play at the speed they play at. Granted there are constant substitutions throughout a game. But a player can find themselves back on the field just as soon as they come off.

Maryland dominated this year much more than I have ever seen a team dominate a season. And this came off of a season last year that they only lost one game, which happened to be the championship game. To come back and play like they did was a great thing to watch.
