Mystery Cards from 1956
 

I'm sure many have seen this article. It's very interesting to me, and naturally there is a card found that I want (bet you can't Guess which one lol).

Does anybody know who owns these cards as of now? I have tried contacting Landon Sims and had no luck.

Did you contact the author ? He writes a lot of great articles for SCD, gives his contact info in the articles and has always responded to inquiries I have sent him

To me the photos and size look like the 1951 Berk Ross Set. The players with the team photos on the front indicate this is true. The backs were written it appears in 1956. The 18 set size goes with the math from the 1951 Berk Ross Set of 72 baseball players. Maybe these were Berk Ross Proof cards and never issued. Just a thought.

I have not contacted the author. He gives the contact of the owner in the article which I tried to contact.

I'm pretty sure there is another thread on Net54 about these, and it was started within the past year or so. If I remember correctly, several board members agreed these were fantasy pieces.

That's a shame if true. I think they could be legit but Don't think anybody will ever know. Still something I would like to have!
