Player id new haven profs
 

Requesting anyone's help identifying a player in the attached vintage photograph. I'm guessing from the 20's or early 30's for the New Haven Profs. This photo was in a collection of Jimmie Wilson ephemera I purchased at auction a few years back. Wilson played from 1923-40 for the Phillies, Cardinals and Reds. He also managed the Phillies and Cubs, 34-44. There were other photo's that I was able to identify the players but this one escapes me. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

It could be pitcher Frank Woodward who played with Jimmie Wilson at New Haven 1920-1922. Photos of Frank below with subject photo on the right.

I think you may be right - it sure appears to be Woodward. Thanks so much, here is another photo from the same collection that I also couldn't identify. Maybe you have some thoughts.

I think this player looks like Woodward also!

These 2 photos were also in the collection, one is Chief Bender in civilian clothes and the other is Wilson, Connie Mack and Cy Morgan.
