Jake Daubert's 1921 Exhibit Card Error

Maybe I'm missing something but can't seem to find mention online or elsewhere regarding Jake Daubert's 1921 Exhibit card. Player depicted on Daubert's card is in-fact Ed Gerner who only appeared in FIVE major league games, all with the 1919 Cincinnati Reds. Also worth noting that Gerner has no documented cards whatsoever:

Nice catch. I collect Daubert fairly heavily but only his Brooklyn cards so I never noticed this one.

Agreed, nice catch. Learn something new every day. I bet there are still at least a few cards, similar to this, which haven't been caught yet.
