Show your favorite Pre-War add/advertising back

I love that this was only given out at in 1909, in Philly, at a store when you bought a hot cocoa (e92 Crofts cocoa). Show your favorite pre war advertisement (on a card or stand alone)

Croft's Cocoa
Don't know if they are my most favorite but they are very cool. Then add a bit of a twist and it's a little better for me.

WTF is a "Noisy Nose Blower" and in what universe would a parent want a kid to have it? And what parent wants their kid to get a knife or cigar? "Charlie Chaplin Squirter"? There's an image I can't un-imagine. |
This is great Adam. I wonder what the most claimed prize was. Reminds me of the crap you get at the dentist from the “prize drawer”

Ryan,
Glad to see that other collectors appreciate Croft's Cocoas as much as I do. Here are a couple of cool advertising signs to go along with the card that you posted. Scott |

I actually like ad backs in general pretty cool to see what was "big" and "Current" back then
But my favorite is from the back of 1 of my Joe Jackson Cards which is also 1 of Val's from an earlier post |

Ed, very nice group of backs! Interestingly, both the fronts and backs of the E222 A.W.H. Caramel cards were issued in different colors.

I love the back of this 1895 Wills card of a soldier, and the backs of the 1909 Wills Cricketers set. The fronts are great too.

Lot of cool ad backs so far. Here is one I like that hasn't been shown - the 1909 Obak.

Not great from a design standpoint, but this Haffner's card has a fun back. Who can deny the appeal of a 'Big-Tayto-Loaf'?

T107 has a nice back:

And the 2 tougher backs in T68 are among my favorites. T68 was probably the costliest of the ATC/ALC/Brett backs to produce, seems like a lot of effort for little gain to coat the back with their silver application:

Not my favorites (although I do like them a lot, especially Mother's Bread), but two more backs not yet posted - D303

Love these three but Standard Biscuit is my favorite.

Oh crap, Ryan. Now I'm going to be looking for 1916 Mother's Bread cards. As if I don't have enough problems . . .

Mothers' Bread is a great one, tied with Red Cross for me.
But I love the vibrant red... And this Lajoie has an amazing fiery sunset. |
