Need Info on 1955 Topps Double-Folder
My friend came across a 1955 Topps Double Folder #105-06 Hank Aaron. It is gaded BGS-5. However the card does not have a crease like every other card he has from this set. Did these cards come with a crease, or did they have to be creased after you bought them? Any information will be appreciated. Thanks.

I believe the Double Headers were the first baseball card tribute set, re-using an old design not out of laziness or cheapness by the manufacturer but as a throwback. I can't think of an earlier example of a 'Heritage' style set.

Maybe the 51T connie mack AS die cut. set .a bit of a throw back to some 30s ? 40s ? die cut sets ??

Doubleheaders, of course, were a revisit of the T-201 doublefolders of 40+ years earlier.

I never thought of the 51's as a throwback heritage type set, until now. Certainly have a 30's aesthetic in line with some of those cards. The Topps Doubleheaders are a nice remake, I have a few but haven't built the set yet. I think they are the best of the Topps supplemental baseball issues until the Supers.
