Cy Young or Honus Wagner for $1500?

I’m making progress toward my HOF player collection goal - am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for either Cy Young or Honus Wagner for $1500 or less?

Looking for “playing days” options, like most HOF collectors - appreciate any suggestions!

Jeff

E254s are a pretty good deal if you're okay with non-rectangular cards.

Pit/ Wagner t200 Fatima & a Cy Young t205/6 can be found raw for that.

For the Wagner, game cards are probably one of the best options. Anything else is likely going to be either a team card or extremely low grade. Young will be a bit easier, you might be able to still get a low grade E93, T205, M116, etc in that price range.

Looking on eBay I found this 1913 Tom Barker Honus Wagner playing game card as a potential that might meet your needs

Not a bad option. And the beauty about the mid grade game cards is they look pretty much like the nr mt ones because of the rounded corners.

On Young I think M116 may be your best option, better image IMO than the non-portrait T206s and portrait even beat up I think will be higher now.

Mine is not for sale, but you may be able to find one of these if you search hard enough.
