Need help needed on Williams, DiMaggio and Mantle

So I’ve been a long time member here but am not much of an autograph collector. A friend of mine reached out about some baseballs I’d like some opinions on if no one would mind.

The story is a long time collector has 1000’s of autographs mostly on cards and flats but also a number of sweet spot auto balls. She is in her 70’s and downsizing her living arrangements and while she wants to keep the flats she has no room for the baseballs.

She collected these mostly in person or through private signings from the mid 80’s through early 2000’s. She has the tickets to the shows for most of them but no TPG’s. She is offering the whole lot for one peice to not try and price it all out.

My friend has been sending pics all day of them and I asked if he cared if I put some on here for some opinions.

Here are three of the biggest baseballs for your consideration.

Any and all thoughts are welcome since I really don’t have a horse in this race.

Thanks in advance,
Drew

Mantle looks fine to me. Dimaggio and Williams look off to me but for some reason they have always been more difficult for me so wait for other responses.

They’re all bad in my opinion.

Any other thoughts?

Autographed baseballs for Mantle, Williams and DiMaggio

They all look good to me and I've collected such autographs in person so I'm sure they're real. Best regards, Howard

The Williams has the closed 'd', which is a good sign.

While I almost never like that guy "Jai" Dimaggio, I have to make an exception in this case. All are good, especially the Mantle, IMHO.

All three are authentic, nice balls

After much thought and having Fud's approval I am going to give the Joe D a Yes

Thanks guys. I appreciate all the input. I’ll pass the info a long to my friend.

it might be interesting to put these up for quick opinions to see what happens. I do have my doubts on the Joe.

Good call in retrospect, you know how I never liked Jai.:D. I like the Dimaggio but I prefer 3 dots in different places, LOL.

It's one of those things I wouldn't buy cause it would drive me crazy. Pretty neat ball, Ifsofatso.

Fudd brings up a great point, and one I follow religiously now. Even if everyone and their brother says something is good, if it's an atypical autograph it's going to drive me crazy looking at it and wondering. I'd rather pay more for something that I have no doubt about.

No such thing as "a sure thing" unless you see the item being signed. Everything else is just an opinion.
