RESULTS POSTED - Brockelman Auction contest w/vintage cards for top 2 guessers

6 Attachment(s)
The Brockelman Auction contest is here again for the auction that ends this Saturday, and you have the chance to score some vintage cards as seen in the scans below.

The auction: http://www.brockelmanauctions.com/catalog.aspx

This time the contest will involve the first 266 lots in the auction (lot #'s 1 through 266).

You will need to guess FIVE Prewar lot#'s (lots ranging from #1 through 185) that I consigned to the auction that have the word "LOT" in the lot title. Also you will need to guess FIVE 1942 to 1959 lot #'s (lots ranging from #186 through 266) that I consigned that have the word "LOT" in the lot title as well.

An example guess of lot numbers would look as follows:

PreWar (lots #1-185):

12
56
89
111
124

PostWar (lots #186-266)

196
212
244
252
259

The above guess would not be very successful, because these lot numbers do not have the word "LOT" in their title, but at least this sadly oblivious guesser did not guess any lot #'s higher than 266

Your goal is to guess more correctly the lots that I consigned than your fellow Net54'er. In the case of a tie, the first guesser is the top winner.

The prizes are as follows: Top guesser gets his choice of one card from the two scans identified as GROUP ONE below, and 4 cards (or 3 cards and the group of 30 shiny cards) from the four scans identified as GROUP TWO. The runner up will get 1 card from GROUP ONE, and 2 cards from GROUP TWO, after the top guesser makes his choice.

As a bonus, if someone identifies all 10 correctly (would only apply to the first who does this), then this person would be able to pick an additional card from GROUP ONE.

You are allowed two guesses of 5 Prewar/5 Postwar, with no edits. All guesses need to be posted by 6pm EST on Saturday, March 12th, the same night that the auction closes. Good Luck!

Brian

Perfect...everyone has provided guesses in the correct format, and only one slipped up and gave an answer outside the 1 through 266 lot range. And nat, tiger8mush, and jcarroll84 have also provided 2 sets of guesses, which every contestant is allowed to do.

Nice start, and keep the guesses coming!

Brian

Great auction, and here are the final contest results:

mines_mint got 8 correct first, so he wins 1 card from Group One and 4 cards from Group Two.

edjs also got 8 correct, after mines_mint guess, so he wins 1 card from Group One and 2 cards from Group Two.

Thanks again everyone, and pm's to the winners will be sent shortly.

Until next time...

Brian
