2022 National

I was making my travel plans today so thought I would start a thread. Who's going? Who's not? Who is undecided? Who's on first?

Being in Jersey, easy choice for me. Hotel set for Wed-Sat. Can't wait to have a good time.

I keep telling myself that one of these days I'll go and keep making excuses to not. This is probably the closest it'll ever get to me, so I'm in...unless I'm out.

Snapolit1 03-09-2022 06:32 PM

I'm in.

Unless I need to bail for unforeseen reasons, would love to arrange a casual get together at a cool bar. Nothing formal just beers and casual eats.

I’m going. It will be my first time

I plan on coming down Thursday or Friday. May stay overnight or head up to Long Beach Island.

The National is certainly exciting. It's unlike any other card show. I attended in 2019 for the first time and then again in 2021 (2020 was cancelled). I will not be attending AC but I will certainly be returning again for Chicago in 2023. For those who have never attended, it's a must. Regardless of budget, you are most likely to have a good time. Lots of folks even bring cards to trade/sell with other collectors/dealers. It can be very overwhelming for first timers so I recommend to watch some video walkthroughs on YouTube so that you get a feel for it.

Undecided as of now.

One piece of advice for anybody going, learned the hard way by yours truly. Since cash is King at the National invest in a money belt. Given the current red hot card market, every pickpocket, scam artist, grifter, hooker is going to be descending on AC looking for an easy mark. Be aware of your surroundings at all times, which is hard when you are haggling with a dealer trying to get a price break on that '58 Topps Mantle you covet. I sound like a cop, which most certainly I am not.

I’m in, might be as hot as a Dua Lipa concert this summer. Guess I wouldn’t go that far lol, but a must for sure.

I got a room booked right after the last National. Will be first one.

philliesfan 03-10-2022 05:52 AM

Being in Philly, I will make the 90 minute trip one or two days.

This will be my 12th year as a National Dealer. Not fond of Atlantic City due to the high weekend hotel prices but the last time there a few years back was good.

Booth #'s 1801/1900. I have a large group of 1950 - 1970 Bowman and Topps mostly commons and semi stars in numerical order for set builders.

Currently no T206 or Pre War inventory but you never know by the National. I had a near set of T206 missing only 17 cards a couple of years ago.

I currently have complete sets of 1954 Bowman(VG/EX), 1955 Topps(VG+/VG/EX), 1956 Topps VG+/VG/EX), 1960 Topps (VG/EX).

I also have a large autograph inventory, some MLB scorecards from 50's/60's, wire photos, a few game used bats, etc.

Stop by and say hello.

Randy Hartsoe

One table will be my friend's inventory which will is usually vintage and wax.
