Your most oddball complete set

Plenty of people like to collect complete sets (myself included). That's not always possible with some of the mainstream high-priced vintage sets out there. But that won't stop us.

What's the most odd-ball complete vintage set you have in your collection?
Mine would be the 1943 M.P. & Co. set. I like it because it's the only nationally issued Major league one-year set from during the war.

Others out there?

It's non sports, but it would probably have to be my 1977 Monty Gum "Punk" set from Holland. I pieced this 74 card set together over a two year period and even added a wax pack to the collection this year. Very challenging to complete, as most had to be purchased from sellers overseas. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...27865c682c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...cbafe6c72a.jpg

Interesting, and great, thread topic. I have various oddball complete pre-war vintage sets, assuming your definition of "oddball" is of items that aren't the normal baseball card collectible, or if cards, then very obscure or not generally collected ones.

1910-11 S74-1 White Version Silks
1911 S74 Silk Proofs
1911 S74-2 Colored Version Silks
1914 WG4 Polo Grounds Game
1927 RinkyDink Stamps
1933 R337 Eclipse Import
1936 Diamond Matchbooks - Chicago Cubs
1936 National Chicle Rabbit Maranville "How To" Pamphlets
1936 S&S Game Cards
1937 Dixie Lids
1937 Dixie Lid Premiums
1938 Dixie Lids
1938 Dixie Lid Premiums
1938 Our National Game Pins W/Backings

If I had to choose just one set as the most oddball, I'd probably go with the RinkyDink Stamps, and the National Chicle "How To" Pamphlets a close second.

I'm not sure if it's oddball or just uncommon, but I've got a complete 1933 Rittenhouse Candy set. It's a 52 card set with 2 Babe Ruth cards.

How close are you to spelling out Rittenhouse Candy Co?

I'd have to check, but not as close as on the oldcardboard.com website, but I do think I contributed a letter or two to it many years ago.

Probably this one...1990 Kingpins Set of 100 (98 bowlers, Chris Schenkel, and a checklist). I don't remember what made me decide to buy it, much less put it in pages. I was probably into one of my bowling phases.

It's crazy that it's never been spelled out completely. That's pretty cool that you supplied a couple to OldCardboard.
