1905-1910 Honus Wagner Decal Bat Pro Model
 

34 1/2" and 41.2 ounces matches Honus Wagner records I believe. Knob was hand turned with lathe mark. This bat sold at action today and I couldnt tell if the decal looked right. Perhaps it was touched up or had been tampered with? Also I have never seen an "&" of that shape between Hillerich & Sons before. The dash dot dashes in the label also looked funny to me as the bottom one was more like a dash triangle dash all connected.

Am I being overly critical of the bat or was it really not good?
Anyone else see this bat today??

I believe MADE BY in the center brand means it’s a pro model bat. Great looking bat.

It is a good looking bat just didn't know if it was nearly $20k good or not.

The auction description quoted the prices of graded Wagner bats but this one was not graded. To quote the high dollar amount of graded examples and to not submit this one sounds questionable:rolleyes:. Who knows maybe they were in a hurry to sell.

The 20k surprised me . I figured 10k .. but almost certainly will get a loa and be resold as a Wagner pro model bat and go for substantially more

I saw it yesterday. Beautiful bat.

I was in early but dropped out at $6500.
