Jarrod,
Your 2 cents is always worth significantly more. I am a set builder, so they would fill holes. My other Koufax and Maris signed cards are a lot more appealing. I agree that neither of these are great for display purposes.
My challenge is that I requested a PSA Quick Opinion for the Maris. I was shocked when the result was likely not genuine. Although it is a rushed signature, it had all of the characteristics and flow of my other Maris autographs, but I am not an expert on signature analysis.
I believe there is an I hereby conservative bias in the quick opinion process to minimize the possibility of a false negative. It would be a reputational disaster for PSA to give a likely genuine report for an autograph that under full evaluation is deemed bad. On the other hand false negatives would cause less of a ripple. So if I getcaxlikely genuine report, I have confidence in the autograph's authenticity. If I get likely not genuine, I'm not sure it tells me too much. It could be bad, but could be good too. I'd love to hear other opinions on the value of quick opinions.
Any other opinions on the Maris, especially, are appreciated. I'm convinced based on the comments so far and my own observation that it is good, despite a negative QO, but more confirmation (or alternative opinion) would be great.
