Need help with a photomatch
4 Attachment(s)
I have a banner (3' x 9', first pic) that I would imagine was hung at Candlestick Park. Perhaps, Opening day? Anyway, I have another banner, featuring a pitcher, and the fine folks here found a picture of it on Opening Day 1960 (Candlestick's FIRST Opening Day; they hung it wrong side out). I'm hoping one of you detectives can find another picture of my other banner being actually hung at Candlestick...

The one in front of the batter is facing the correct way. I would guess that the other was blown over the bar before they were smart enough to stake it down. We certainly would not want those generals slapped in the face with a flapping banner. What is it with the cowboy hats in that photo? One of those men looks like he stole it from a clown with the brim curled up on the sides.

Logically speaking, I'm assuming the placement of the 'backwards' one could actually be correct. Hung that way means the fans in the stands could read the front of it as "GIANTS," and not "STNAIG."
