CAUTION Eddiesrecords on Feebay

The seller eddiesrecords (rings a bell for some reason) has either had their account hacked or they have stolen hundreds of scans and placed them at $1 starts to sell too would be unsuspecting buyers. Has a bunch of different pics with different backgrounds, cards listed by other sellers (probably the real owners), and had a plethora of Cobbs and Gehrigs listed last night that were not his. Last night a bunch of them had probstein, deans, and com water marks on the pics. Looks like some are gone but others are not reported yet.

Appreciate the update and warning

This commonly happening. Someone is definitely hacking accounts. Main give away is there are three lines in a row in the listing that say does not apply. I forgot what they are - bin number or something.

All of this baloney with eBay has left me cold. I haven't bought anything there in six months. I got fed up with searches coming up with a million things other than what I am searching for. Even before that, I have seen the things I search for (old wood tube radios, railroad timetables, and yes, baseball cards) in far less numbers than just a few years ago. If you are into fakes, counterfeits, or way overpriced old stuff and all sorts of modern trinkets and gee-gaws, well, eBay is the place for you. For me, what was once my go to site for the things I like is now dried up and gone.

Looks like another seller has been hacked?
Way too many nice cards and the hacker didn't even remove the references to Probstein or 4 Sharp corners on some of the scans.

I'm not familiar/handy with reporting this to eBay so if someone else is inclined, I'm sure many would appreciate that.

1) Scroll down on an item page to the description section. Click on Report Item at the top right.
2) Select "Listing Practices", then "Fraudulent Listing Activities", then "You suspect that a listing is fraudulent."
3) Click "Submit report."

Here are 4 other accounts the same person hacked. When you click on the first image of each auction, they direct you to buy the item via their website, not eBay. I was able to follow them, because they kept including the same Sandburg glove.

I would assume the legit sellers would see this activity on their sites, or have the hackers completely taken over the accounts and set up new ones to look exactly like the legit ones?

I use "avoiding ebay fees" in the second drop down.. It seems to get a quicker response.

1 of the 4 that I sent a message via ebay had an automatic reply that they were hacked, the other 3 didn't reply.

When I was hacked a few years ago, the hacker changed my Ebay ID and took full control. Luckily, I was on ebay at the time and was able to contact ebay immediately to regain control of my ebay account.

It gets more and more concerning each day. I haven't been on ebay in over a year, although I do still enjoy looking. I just don't trust ebay anymore. Since they made all of their recent changes, including giving them your SSN and Bank Account info, I just couldn't do it.

That's got to be tough watching your eBay store being taken over by a hacker and ruin, maybe, a lifetime of reputation that you've built up over the years.

I just checked and site is still up and running with numerous new items being added by the minute it seems.
You can not only get cards from this guy but also industrial/construction equipment like planers and Bobcats.

Hacker was taken down by eBay, but they will be back. I’m aware of 6 accounts they hacked in the last 4 days. It’s amazing how fast they do it.

eBay is basically a giant dumpster fire at this point.
