1951 Stan Musial Cards
If a '51 Topps Red Back of Stan Musial doesn't exist, sorry no checklist, then is it safe to say the '51 Berk Ross is the only mainstream set that includes him?

He has a Wheaties card but not sure I would call that mainstream.

There is not a Topps or Bowman card of Musial in 1951, but there is a Berk Ross. I'm not sure if there is a 1950 card of Musial in any major set. There was an Exhibit card that covered those years.

Stan Musial
Hi John
Just a reminder....Stan the Man is in the 1953 BOWMAN set. Stan Musial was under contract with WHEATIES (Comic Books and Baseball pix) going back to the 1940's. He finally gave TOPPS permission to depict him in their 1958 All-Star series. 1947 https://photos.imageevent.com/tedzan...1947musial.jpg 1948 https://photos.imageevent.com/tedzan...StanMusial.jpg 1949 https://photos.imageevent.com/tedzan...manmusuial.jpg 1953 https://photos.imageevent.com/tedzan...nMusial50x.jpg TED Z T206 Reference . |
I believe his Exhibit (Kneeling) was produced that year.
He has the Wheaties Photo Premium that gets catalogued with cards a lot even if it isn't one, as well as the 'card'. Was his Royal Desserts card produced in 1951? The text is after the 1950 season but presumably before the 1952 season. |
I want one of those 53 Bowmans. Very sweet card.

Both of these 2 cards are part of my original boyhood sets--They were graded as is, just as they came from packs back in the day. I guess I played w/ my '53 Musial more than I did the '52 as the corners are a tad soft! LOL!

Since no one has yet shown Stan's 1954 Red Heart, here's the example I once had in my collection:
