April 15th 1947 Jackie Robinson Debut Scorecard
4 Attachment(s)
The most historic piece in my Brooklyn Dodger collection.
April 15th 1947-Jackie Robinson debut scorecard. Not looking to sell, but trying to get some thoughts on value. Attachment 499707 Attachment 499708 Attachment 499709 Attachment 499710 Dated-partially scored (only for Jackie) I believe the signature is that of the person who attended the game. Technically Jackie was 0-3 that day, but he did get up 4 times. One at bat was a fielders choice. The Dodgers played the Boston Braves on: April 15th- Jackie’s Debut April 16th- (Game rained out) April 17th- Jackie’s first hit. After the April 17th game-The Braves' next visit to Ebbets Field that year was on June 26th…so Mort Cooper who was traded to the Giants on June 13th would NOT be listed in the later in the year scorecards. |
Do not know the value but It is a beautiful piece

If it can be pinpointed to Jackie's debut which is tough to confirm for certain since it is not fully scored, it could be worth a few thousand dollars IMO, maybe more in the right auction with two motivated bidders. Can't really tell much about the condition from the pictures posted but definitely a nice piece.

Randy poinred out the key issue with this program. It is from opening series and based on markings looks like an opening day program but no real proof. Fully scored helps alot. But what else might help is if the lineup is only for this game. If next game printed lineup changed then there is your proof. Either way look ip other examples and make sure your example matches up with them. The differance is significant between an opening day and opening series program so worth the effort to match it up.

Found this thread while researching some stuff, Lelands sold an April 11th Jackie's Dodger debut program in 2015 for 640.39 in 2015.
