I know the obvious answer is:

Ruth-Gehrig......or........Mantle-Maris (while there was not the longevity there that may be the best 1 year ever 3-4)


Any others comes close?


Matthews-Aaron wasn't too shabby.

Eddie and Hank would be the obvious answer for me as being the best.

Mays McCovey were pretty good.
Ortiz Ramirez for a few years.

Jimmie Foxx and Ted Williams had a couple good years, but then Foxx went downhill and Williams went to war.

A Rod and Griffey for at least a few years.
