January Pickup Thread
December purchases arrived today. I went with a shiny quartet; last time it was a Tiffany quartet for Larkin. I really like the Donruss Prized Collection. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8078e83abf.jpg

Picked up Mattingly's first and last Topps Chrome card since he retired after the 1995 season.

Unbelievably, I didn't have a Bonds rookie before opening today's mail. At least, I hadn't yet had one during this century.

I'm not sure anyone else collects these, but this is a great set from the 1990s. It's only 20 cards, looks sharp, includes most of the best players of the era, and can be collected a lot of ways because there are different-colored (and rarer) parallels. It reminds me in those aspects of the E94 and E98 sets from the 1910s.

Fascinated to see SGC slabs making a statement in 80's, 90's, and 2000's cards.
