The back was black when issued. It measures approx. 2 3/8" x 2 15/16"

If anyone can help ID this card, I would greatly appreciate it.

Could it be trimmed version of his 1939-46 Exhibit card?

Perhaps a collector wanted it to fit with his Goudey or Diamond Stars collection since size is within 1/16 inch of same.

Collectors often trimmed cards to fit in binders or holders. I think it was Don McPherson (rip) who had a lot of trimmed cards and might have trimmed them himself. Not positive but that is what I think I remember reading.
The card in question does look close to the size of a Goudey or Diamond Stars.

I have some trimmed down E93 cards that originated from Don McPherson. Lew Lipset had an auction, probably around 18+ years ago, featuring many E90-1 through E102(?) caramel sets/near sets from Don, and the auction listings indicated that many of these cards had been trimmed down to fit into his storage sheets (if I remember correctly).
