7th Oldest Major League Ballpark...
 
Just read this tidbit mentioned in passing on an article about renovations at the ballpark:

"Rogers Centre (which opened in 1989) is the seventh-oldest of all active Major League ballparks..."

That just feels...insane. :eek:

Never mind the Pyramids. Angkor Wat, or the Cathedral at Chartres -- if a half-billion-dollar sports stadium
is more than thirty years old, it's a "disintegrating relic" and needs to be torn down right now and
replaced with a billion-dollars-plus stadium. Paid for by...

It's also interesting that only two stadiums pre-date 1962, and those of course are from the 1910s.

I agree.
I had some friends who worked there during the construction phase.
