The Art of Restoration

Anyone recently heard directly from Tom Tomc dba The Art of Restoration in Chicago?

I thought we were better than this Tom.

Tom has ignored all my attempts to contact him over the past 4 months via email, postal service, text and phone. My phone number is blocked from his phone.

He has had my piece for over a year along with a several thousand dollar deposit.

An attorney is now involved.

So sorry to hear and good luck

Mike,

I contacted him last year about doing a small piece for me. We discussed, but then he never got back with me on the estimate. Do you know what’s going on with The Art of Restoration, or is the attorney going to find out?

I have not chatted with him in a while, but only had top notch experiences with him. Do you know if he is ok??? Is there anyone local in Chicago that can check things out that way?

I messaged Tom last month and he responded right away. I just checked and his response was on Dec 14 2021, one day after my inquiry. I did read on the Art of restoration site that if I chose to move forward with them that I should expect little contact during the process and that by keeping a small staff that was mostly focused on the work was how he kept prices down. I certainly hope all turns out well for both parties.

When you get a quote from this company figure in the possibility of legal fees to get your piece back. Sound like a company you want to do business with?
