CLOSED...1969 Topps lot of four, with SPARKY LYLE RC...ends 12/22, 8PM MST
Here's a few pretty nice 1969s to upgrade your set, featuring Sparky Lyle's rookie card. Not only did Lyle win the first Cy Young award given to a reliever, he also perfected the art of sitting on teammate's birthday cakes with his naked rear end, leaving an imprint in the frosting as his trademark. Not a guy to invite to your kid's birthday party, I'm guessing. That's worth a bid right there...but wait, there's more! Act now, and you'll get Bob "Chicks Dig the '69 Mets" Hendley, Jim "Don't Call Me Gaylord" Perry, and Jim Britton, not to be confused with "Arthur, King of the Britons." The auction ends at 8PM, Mountain Time, on Dec 22nd, with a 10-minute rule. It can go past 8PM, as long as there is a bid in a 10 minute period to keep it going, since you can’t put in a “max bid” on BST. Starts at $1, with $1 increments. Winner helps with postage to the tune of $3. I was going to have it delivered by an African swallow, but of course, they are non-migratory, so USPS it is.
