Bill Dahlen HoF ?
 

With Dahlen up for consideration for the Hall again, what do you believe his chances of being elected are?

Dahlen's comps indicate his is worthy of the Hall.

As a follow-up, do you believe his cards are priced as though he is a HoF'r already or is there room for growth in value?

Well, about 62% of N54ers agree Dahlen should be in the Hall.

If he does go in (and I hope so), you can expect the prices of his cards to go up accordingly.

I would vote yes, but I doubt he is elected this year. His cards are already priced like a low level hall of famer, there will be a short bump like there always is but little else.

Dahlen had a great career, but I expect them to name a couple more negro league players instead. This would be in keeping with new MLB recognition of the negro leagues as major leagues. The timing works against Dahlen this year.

Hopefully he gets in but it is a packed crowd that might dilute the vote if some of the voters limit the amount they vote for

I think that all the various era committees have ballots where you can vote for up to four people although I can't find documentation for this at the moment.

The stats have never jumped off the page at me, but I know he has a lot of support for the HOF and I do think he’ll get the required votes for induction on 12/5. He came very close last time around.
