1970 Pictures of Champions Baltimore Orioles

I picked up a set of these, any idea what it's worth? Google turned up one guy selling it for a grand which I assume is ridiculous.

Did you pick it up just to flip? I would assume so since your post is asking about value, and not rather 'hey, look at my pickup, pretty cool set, anyome else have these on their collection?' Or something along those lines. Ive noticed more and more posts on here about value, rather than collecting or joy of the hobby. I'm not a longtime member, but seems like more and more discussion about value recently. I understand thats a big part of the hobby, but I believe not the #1 reason for collecting of most members on this board.
This isn't meant to be an insult of the OP, just something I've noticed.

I've had that set since the early 1980's and probably paid around $20 back then. It is a tough set to find and on a lot of Orioles collectors want lists. As for value, I've seen a few sets over the years go for crazy prices in some auctions and others sell on eBay in the $100-200 range. It's one of those regional Orioles sets that can vary greatly, if you get a couple guys bidding against each other. Nice set, that I'm sure you could find a buyer for fairly quickly.

Hi Scott, yes they are orange and black with the player's name and number on the back

upstate, I assume you didn't take the time to read my bio or check out my website linked at the bottom of my post. If you had you would have noticed that I have very specific collecting interests. I picked these up as part of a larger lot of cards that contained a set I've been after for quite some time, which I've already scanned and uploaded if you care to take a look (It is the 1970 Flavor-est Milk Milwaukee Brewers). I do plan on selling (or in your words, "flipping") them to help defray the cost of the lot but I had no clue what to ask since my Google search only yielded the one result I mentioned. Since there seems to be a great wealth of knowledge on this board I thought someone might have some input.
I hope this explanation helps to reaffirm your faith in the state of hobby to some small degree.
