In the recent sold listings for the seller, you can find autos with LOA from Frank Garo. Worth a google.

Fake. The printing on the back is really fuzzy compared to real 51 Bowmans, and the name box on the front is not as solid as it should be. To say nothing about how badly trimmed the card is.

I saw that one last night and reported it as fake. As Bill pointed out, the name box appears to be the same print pattern as the rest of the card rather than solid.

It has to be, just logically. If it were real, you would get so much more for it by just sending it to SGC and selling it in a month in the black slab. The only reason not to should be obvious.

Right off the bat (no pun intended) the front looks really... grainy?

But damn, this is a pretty "good" fake, no? Even has a wax stain on the back.

At least his Kelly Ripa autographed photo looks legit :p

Top border above name on front looks kinda hand cut…. But I do agree it’s a decent fake that will probably sell to someone looking to pay tuition to the School of Hard Knocks.

I was fooled by the "wax" stain as well.

But, is SGC only a month behind? I agree, a month's wait for a grade is not painful. But if I wanted to sell the card and had to wait 12 months, it's a different issue altogether. Right now, I have a handful of cards I'd like to sell but want them graded. What's the point of sending them into a black hole right now? I don't need the money, so would rather wait. Other's may not be in the same situation.

Yeah, but he states, and then restates, it is a genuine Bowman Mantle in the description. So I wouldn't go cutting him any slack because of the category he listed it under.
