Auction Houses and Shipment of Cards
Auction Houses and shipping cards
Typically, how long does it take an auction house to ship once they receive payment? Would like to get information from other members so I can have realistic expectations. |
Hi
It depends on several things. 1. How busy they are. Some auction houses currently claim they are very busy and short handed and as a result the shipments are delayed. 2. How you pay. Checks for example will delay your shipment by 7 to 10 business days. Even if the check shows as cleared from your account most auction houses will hold for upwards of 10 business days. Wire transfers are faster and thus go out faster However, I have had luck with many auction houses and usually get my card in 5 to 7 business days |
Sterling is the best by far IMO. The auctions end on Thursday, I have an invoice Friday morning and pay quickly, cards are shipped same day and they're waiting in my mailbox when I get home from work on Monday afternoon. No other auction house can do that.

REA and Mile High recently has shipped within a day or two of payment. Heritage, Goldin, Memory Lane all within 5-7 days.
|
We are often within 48 hours of payment, probably 75% of the time. First couple days are the toughest as everyone races to get their payment in and be at the top of the queue.

It's been 10 days now & I still don't have the card I won in PWCC's 10/24 auction.
|
It depends on how much you won in a specific auction :D
|
In my experience, REA generally ships within 48 hours of payment, Mile High and Memory Lane are similar, and Heritage can take a while - sometimes 2-3 weeks.

Sterling generally ships within 24 hrs of payment. Have always liked to move out the current the auction so I can focus on the next auction.
