Introducing myself
Hi all. Signed up in 2014, but only started to lurk recently!
A little about me..collected all my youth to late teens and stopped from 2000ish to 2010. Got back in and just opened packs. Decided to switch to vintage around 2015 and haven’t looked back. Huge Ted Williams collector. Have most of his cards except some of the rare ones. Always on the lookout for ones I don’t have! Have a few autographs and a number of magazines, Sears stuff, etc. Also collect HOF rookies and base cards. Also into any sport autographs and memorabilia! Looking forward to contributing more to the forum! Matt |

Welcome to the board.
This is the only Ted Williams item I own- it’s a team photo of Ted Williams’ Minnesota minor league team, signed by the whole team, the year before his rookie season |

Welcome! Ted Williams collector as well - here's a couple of less common items - program and ticket stub from Ted's final game in 1960, along with the program from his first game at Fenway in 1939 (an exhibition vs. the Boston Braves)...

Since this is a post Ted Williams items thread, thought I would share a favorite. This one depicts Ted at a mining location in his Red Sox uniform sinking into quicksand at the edge of a tailings pond. Fortunately he was rescued, as he then proceeded to set a runs scored record in 1947.

Thank you for the warm wishes! Love seeing all the Ted stuff, regardless if I have it or not! Just picked up a white whale in the 1967 Venezuelan that I had lost out a number of times!

Welcome!
I don't collect Ted Williams in particular but do have one interesting photo. It has a lot of editorial work over the original Burke photo and (I think) may be the original artwork for the 1940 Play Ball card. Anyway, it's one of only three Ted photos I have.... |
