4 Attachment(s)
The Clemente Museum is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the life and legacy of Roberto Clemente or “The Great One.” With one of the largest collection of photographs and objects related to Roberto Clemente, the museum aims to educate its audiences on not only his incredible baseball career, but his humanitarian efforts and life off the field, as well.
Leon was kind enough to allow me to share the link to the Clemente Museum fundraiser and auction. The museum is hoping to raise the funds necessary to install an elevator to the upper floors of the museum for those visitors who would benefit from the increased accessibility. Bidding for the silent auction has begun on line. New and unique items will be added daily through September 9th. You won’t find any T206s but all funds will go to a worthy cause. Thanks for taking the time to check it out. https://clementemuseum.com/auction/ https://app.mobilecause.com/e/DXyLyA?vid=l9yd9 Mike |
I visited the Clemente Museum when I was in Pittsburgh 7 or 8 years ago, and I remember it being very interesting with an amazing amount of memorabilia. I hope the fund raiser goes well.

Wow, I wish I visited this place back when I was visiting Pittsburgh frequently. One of my good friends is the grandson of Danny Murtaugh. When his mother comes into town and we all get together, she's always got great stories about the Pirates teams/players during Murtaugh's years of coaching and was a good friend of Clemente's wife up until her passing.

Friendly bump for a good cause.

Thanks Leon, the fundraising event is tonight and new items have been added to the auction to include a Fernando Tatis Clemente Museum baseball, signed Cabrera jersey, and a Pearl Jam autographed concert poster. The 8’ ceramic tile Clemente artwork will be auctioned off live at tonight’s event.
