LF: 1923 Lections Rogers Hornsby

$50 Finders Fee if a deal is made for one!!
I am aware of the one on eBay, looking for one in slightly better condition!!
Please help me find this card for my Hornsby collection!

Sorry, I can only help with one that is somehow even crappier than the one on eBay.....

Larrybird_coins_and_cards 08-20-2021 07:56 PM

NOOOOOOOO. Have to ask, how much?

scooter729 08-21-2021 03:25 AM

It's actually part of a set I have so it’s not for sale, but I had to share for the laugh. The rest of the set is somewhat respectable (for Lections) but the Hornsby is obviously very rough. I would like to upgrade at some point but happy to have a filler for the time being.

Great series of "cards"

I have been looking for a quality ruth for a while and they are scarce

Good luck to both of you. I have only two from the series and both are just as rough.

Hi Jon, Hope all is well. That Ruth is incredible…

Larrybird_coins_and_cards 08-27-2021 04:53 PM

Everyone, lets convince him to sell me the Hornsby that one I don't have to display one with 30 whole punches in it!!

canjond 08-27-2021 05:16 PM

Ha! You all are too much. Unfortunately they’re not for sale but I’ll certainly keep it in mind if I decide to move them. I had gotten them out of an original collection about 20 years ago. The gentleman had 16 total baseball subjects - a set of 10 which he kept for himself (a mix of colors), and these 6 duplicates. All were in great condition except for the 2 Ruth’s - they were well loved. The Hornsby's were both in similar condition, but mine obviously has the writing on the front.

Since you are selling to him (hypothetically) in the future please put me on the Ruth list
