How very Goudey of Goudey to turn a photo of Pete Fox batting into a card of Pete Fox batting. National Chicle meanwhile got creative and turned the same photo into a fielding pose!

For better or worse the card was never released in the Diamond Stars set, being one of 12 cards from an uncut sheet discovered circa 1980-81 and turned into an “extension set” by Den’s Collectors Den in 1981.

Wow- great detective work on that one. His face does look just a tad different, but really love the art deco inspired designs of the "cards that never were".
