Walter Johnson postcard - need advice

I'm trying to determine if that's Walter Johnson in the middle back row on this AZO postcard. I look forward to your opinions.
Thanks -

Eric

It isn't.

Hankphenom 08-12-2021 06:35 PM

Some resemblance, but no, not Walter.

Ricky 08-12-2021 07:49 PM

Nope.

Baseball Rarities 08-12-2021 11:32 PM

Definitely not Walter Johnson. Sorry.

You're doing this all wrong. You're supposed to come on asking advice (well done on that part) and then when people tell you what you don't want to hear you're supposed to go on the offensive and call everyone idiots and explain how ears don't matter and his eyebrows are identical and all the losers who say different are just jealous of your latest amazing find of Babe Ruth's Pre-Natal Sonogram.

Please work on this.

I had that sonogram and sold it earlier than I should have....

Haha..good stuff Scott. I am far too nice of a guy for that though.
On another tangent, does anyone want to buy a postcard with a guy who looks like Walter Johnson? ; )~

If you need him to be a Washington Senator, Nick Cullop (the pitcher/outfielder, not the pitcher/pitcher) is a better fit. He's far right, back row in this 1927 team picture.

The uniform does not match any that was worn by the major-league Washington Nationals/Senators. They wore the dark road uniforms in just four seasons. In the first year (1906), the W was in the Old English or Germanic style, and during the next three seasons, the shirt had WASHINGTON across the chest.

Definitely shoeless joe. It’s all about the ears.
