A Peter Spaeth-style Giveaway
Peter is constantly doing giveaways, and has given two very cool cards to my nephew over the past couple of years. So I thought I'd pass it on.
First person to post in this thread that they'd like this Yogi for their personal collection or to share with a friend/relative can have it. It was part of the near-complete '54 set I bought from the original owner a few months ago. He grew up in NY and was a Yankees fan, so it was well loved from the moment he pulled it from a wax pack. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...d7b98f2f_z.jpg |
I'd love it for my 5yos birthday in 3 weeks

I know most of us already know this but Jarrod is a super classy guy who loves this hobby and is the epitome of paying it forward. He gave me an amazing deal on a beautiful 66 Mantle along with some other stars for a young man who works for me. I’ve been encouraging this young man to try a little vintage out and this deal was the turning point.
I know I said it before but I want to publicly say again thank you Jarrod, not only for the deal, but continuing to further this endeavor as a hobby and investing in the community. Drew |
You're very kind, guys. I've met so many thoughtful and selfless people on this board over the years. It's really great to see in a money-centric hobby there are still so many folks who do it simply for the love of it.

Tremendous gesture
