Does Having a T206 Wagner Boost Other Card Sales?

Was wondering if the mere presence of a T206 Wagner card in an auction boosts sales of other cards within the same auction by in large simply bc the sale of the Wagner brings in more eyes? Anyone know or have opinions on this?

From what I see so far the bids are strong and early. So all indications leads me to say or believe so.

I would think so. It's basically advertising and brings awareness to the auction from both hardcore and casual collectors. Cant hurt

Having unique, high price items, would seem to draw eyes to the auction and have an "umbrella effect" of raising bids on other items.

This is one of the reasons some auction houses will discount or waive fees for high profile items.

Agreed. High profile cards card excitement for the auction. Increases the social media exposure and increases the number of visits to the sites. The buzz also on cards like those make main steam media and draws people to the sight that might not have gone and this helps bring new money.
However, the one thing I do not know and cannot quantify is how much more Money brought in and how it affects the overall bids.

You sold a T206 Wagner at a garage sale? I think I may have had dreams about such an improbable occurrence.

I don't think there is any way to really quantify the effect but more eyes always helps and excitement around big cards does that.
