Diana Taurasi & Sue Bird PSA Graded RCs - WNBA & Olympic Superstars
 

In honor of Team USA winning Olympic gold (again), I thought I'd offer up two of the biggest rookie cards in women's basketball. I've recently upgraded both in my personal collection, although these are still very fine examples. The population on these is ridiculously low (total of 82 Taurasis & just 39 Birds, which was only available via mail-in redemption). There are only 5 Birds and 4 Taurasis in PSA 10.

If WNBA isn't really your thing, but you like to own cards of the top athletes in all sports, then you can't do better than this. I started my journey just looking for a Sue Bird, then quickly dove deep into collecting women's basketball (with the help of some great N54 forum members).

And if you don't know who they are, Taurasi is the leading scorer and Bird is the leading assist maker in the history of the WNBA. Both are won an historic 5th gold medal this year in Tokyo, and Bird was also one of the two flag bearers for the USA in opening ceremonies. These were both graded in July 2021 (at $200 each!). I just want some funds to buy more cards, so I'm in no rush to let these go. Just thought a fellow collector might be into these, especially right now. They're still going UP in value (unlike most cards) with a lot of room to grow, IMO.
