I always curious how much it would cost to grade a Wagner, I guess $10k would do it. Thx for the info.

On site grading at National
 

I have emailed SGC about on site grading. As of July 6, I know they will be
grading on site; however, the rep who responded to my email, stated they
wouldn't have prices/turnaround times until a time closer to the show itself.

I'm rather disturbed by the fact $250 doesn't actually sound that bad to me. :eek:

Of course, this takes into account the venue and turnaround time.

It will have a line down the block and the majority will be new shiny stuff that isn't worth the grading fees. Junk Slab era is upon us.
I kid obviously because Im of the mindset that anything that gets ppl in the hobby is good for the hobby and right now its all about breaking, grading and flipping. The young audience eats it up and if we can even retain a small part of that audience when most move onto the next fad, its good for the hobby.

PSA just quietly extended my membership another three months. I am the smallest of potatoes to them, so I’m guessing they did it for everyone. I think its logical to assume that that means that catching up is taking longer than they had hoped, and that cheaper prices aren’t coming back until the end of the year…if ever.

I think the turnaround time is almost certainly the biggest pro here. $50 more than express, but there's an actual guarantee of a timely turnaround? Well worth it, IMO (assuming you need to grade a card)

I also expect they'll do well on people trying to buy newer raw cards, slabbing, and flipping by the end of the week. It's an absolute cash farm for content creators...

If you look at historic on-site rates these aren't all that different.

They will be looking to grade their Ohtanis and Charizards.

$100 reslab done by end of day is perfect. Dropping off 3 cards Wednesday for this.

And while you pay their backlogged show special grading fees, they can hire people off the street to practice grading your cards on site.

If you have an older slab on a high-dollar card it's a no brainer. Lighthouse labels are performing better and no one checks the certs online.

$250 for any card up to $4,999 is a tough price point. Adding $250 on top of the purchase price is going to be a hard decision for people to make.
