eBayer with multiple Id's...why?

I have now blocked an eBayer from bidding on my auctions with the fifth known eBay ID. You would think after blocking the first four they would get the hint that business with them is not welcome. The question I have is why would someone have five eBay Id's? What would be the need or the purpose? We are talking a major eBay dealer too.......

My first thought is shilling his own auctions.

If you're a large buyer, before they shut down ebay bucks, the more IDs the better given the cap.

Plus if you are a seller you get more free listings. Some also have separate buying selling accounts. That way you can't see the card they recently bought for $5 is the same card they are now listing for $50 OBO.

I think having separate buying and selling accounts is not uncommon. Some may even have two selling accounts if they seller different genres of things. But, yes, 5 seems excessive.

That may have been true at one time, but I don't think it's possible to see what another person has bought now with scrambled user IDs and non-descriptive buyer feedback.
