"Red" Hoff and Silas Simmons ... the All Time oldest living ex-major league players

Chester "Red" Hoff (1891-1998) is best remembered for being the oldest living ex-major league player. At the time of his death in Daytona Beach, Florida, at the age of 107 he was the longest-lived person to have played in Major League Baseball.

Hoff's record was later surpassed by former Negro leagues pitcher Silas Simmons (1895-2006) who played from 1913-1929. Silas was 111 years old when he passed.

Very nice t207 of "Red" Hoff.

One of the most underrated and yet beautiful card sets of all-time.

Pretty crazy to think that someone who played for the Yankees before Babe Ruth was still alive after the last Seinfeld episode aired.

Very cool to have lived in a part of 3 different centuries.
