1975 Fred Lynn oddities
 

I have been going through dozens of boxes of cards over the last year, and sorting out the commons from the stars and semi stars.

Fred Lynn in 1975 has a print defect that occurs on every one of his 4 player cards from 1975.

The 1992 Kmart sets show the card as if it were a 1975 single player card, minus the print defect.

The 1991 Topps Turn Back the Clock shows it as if were a 1975 single player card, with the print defect.

Nothing earth shaking here, but I found it interesting.

What's the defect?

The white blob in the bottom third of the picture

Was not this discussed sometime back and we decided it was just his sleeve out of proportion in the picture

Yep, it's his sleeve at a different angle/cropping. We discussed it in the "Cards that weren't" thread about ones that were made in "reprint" style sets that weren't actually manufactured that way originally.

That's just his sleeve. I thought you meant something else.

I always thought that sleeve looked weird. Thought it was a bad air brush job.
