What's the angle here??
Let me set the scene....I sold a card privately, not an auction. I sent the wrong tracking #, buyer sends me a message saying it's the wrong address and he has not received the card. I check and i inputted the wrong tracking #, i check the post, and with the correct tracking it says it was delivered 3 days ago to the post and the customer asked the post to hold onto it , so it has not been scanned in yet as shipped. I message him and give the correct tracking #, and tell him what the post said,i tell him this is odd? i ask why would he ask the post to hold it, he says to me to just the fun of using the usps, he will go to post tomm and pick it up. WTF? I am thinking he hoped i didnt have the correct tracking, and he could open a paypal case on me and get his money back and keep the card, a $50 card mind you.

Most Likely Innocent....I will say definitely a lot of Screwballs in this Hobby. I’d chalk it up to people are weird.

That's exactly what he was hoping for, and you broke his slimeball heart when you provided the correct tracking number.

How is the item not scanned as shipped yet he had it held at the post office? |
this had me thinking also, and when does the post become a storage depot. you can refuse a package, but i thought they would send back to sender, not wait on the person to say ok, today is fine, deliver...lol....

this is important for everyone on here to know, that a package you send could arrive at the township and zip you sent to, but not be scanned in, and the post will not deliver and hold it and customers request. I bet not many on here knew this, they know now.

Why would it not be scanned in? Why would the USPS not deliver it? What does this mean: "and hold it and customers request"? |
