These 2 caps were obtained DIRECTLY from Mr. Scott and Mr. Tewksbury when he bought some items from the gentlemen some years ago. Both are guaranteed game worn and authentic as well as signed by each player. Both show heavy use and are real gamers.

Hi Tony, I don't want to hijack your sale and I can delete this if I'm totally wrong, but I'm curious as to what makes the George Scott "guaranteed game worn"? I'd be interested in it if I could find a connection to how he used it, but so far I haven't.

New Era caps with black underbrims weren't introduced (at least for the Red Sox) until 2007 and that particular tagging style points roughly to 2010-2012. Scott died in 2013.

Maybe he used it for an on-field appearance or to attend a game at Fenway but so far I haven't found any mention or any pictures of him attending such events late in his life.

The Tewksbury looks much more era-specific and really nice!

My dad got it directly from Mr. Scott and he said he wore it. Now that you have said that, I am wondering if possibly he wore it in an old timers game or as a roving instructor in the minors? I was going by his words to my dad that he wore it "in a game". It definitely has major wear and is a rather large size so that's all I have to go by. If you have any doubts I would say pass as I don't want anyone to be disappointed or have questions of authenticity.
