June 2021 Brockelman Auction Ends Tonight!

The June 2021 Brockelman Auction ends tonight Saturday June 19th, with initial bidding ending at 11:00 pm EST. Each lot closes individually after that with a 30-minute bid period.

Over 500 lots of Sports and Non-Sports lots from a variety of issues, highlighted by an early Basketball collection being broken up, which includes a very nice PSA 4 1957 Topps Bill Russell Rookie card from a complete 1957 Topps set. Also in this collection is a partial 1948 Bowman set and 1961 Fleer set, each being offered as singles and small groups, as well as other Basketball cards.

Pre-war is not neglected, led by the highly sought after T204 Edde Plank and many singles and groups from various T & E card issues. Type cards such as Kalamazoo Bats, Plow Boy Tobacco and other seldom seen issues. Modern cards are also represented with graded and unopened material.

Most lots have very low opening bids, in many cases just $10 or $20 token openers, which have no relationship to actual value. Many consignors have opted to go this route and let the bidding determine the market price. Even the higher value lots have opening bids that are a fraction of their true value. All lots are sold without reserve and will go to the highest bidder.

The auction runs thru Saturday June 19th, 2021.

Please take a look and see what may be in your area of interest, OR develop a new area of collecting.

For those not registered, registration is quick and easy on the home page of the auction, Net54 members can use their user ID as a reference as well.

Always enjoy Scott's auctions.

Funny, the top 6 items are 3 basketball, one football, and 2 baseball.

Just like every other auction house, vintage baseball competing on equal footing with Wilt Chamberlain, Step Curry cards and other collectibles. Old and new and all major sports at the same dance.

Tossed some bids in

As always, a fun auction with a nice range of material. I've got my placeholder bids in place. And as always, I will be concocting a contest, probably by beginning of the week, that involves the current Brockelman Auction.

Scott,

Thank you for a fantastic auction and I now think it’s time to go to bed. :D

I am pretty hyped up because is was able to pick up a personal grail item that will likely stay in my family for generations. Thanks!

Congrats Justin.
I haven't had any pickups at all in some time, but I definitely like hearing when people acquire "grail cards" that may have taken them years to pick up. (Since you didn't mention what item it was, I'm assuming you won't let the cat outta the bag until you actually have it in hand)
I look forward to seeing it, so please post it once you finally receive it.

:)

Great auction. You can always trust the raw card descriptions.

Quick ship. Great card. Accurately described raw card. Maybe under graded slightly. Ty Scott.

First time bidder / winner. Just signed for my package (fortunately I am working from home today).

Pleased with my winnings - mostly 1957-58 Topps Basketball. All cards look good. Securely packaged. Just wish I hadn't somehow skipped over bidding on a few of the 1957-58 basketball that I needed. I realized a couple hours after the auction ended that I missed them.

I now have about 75% of that set. Russell likely remains elusive based on how much I'm willing to spend, but I can now think about finishing the rest of it.

Scott - I'm looking forward to the next auction.

Dave
