SOLD
Up for sale is this PSA 1 Cobb red port with a Sweet Cap 350/25 back. Obviously has its issues that account for the grade, but I think this presents better than most 1s - great registration, great color, and the creases thankfully spared the face. $3700 shipped, net to me. Multiple payment methods accepted, and plenty of references available. Would prefer cash sale but am open to trades/partial trades for top tier T206 HoFers like Cy, WaJo, Matty, or other Cobbs. https://i.imgur.com/8MBV1bZ.png https://i.imgur.com/sWxzzQl.png |

It’s too bad you don’t respond to PMs.

Going silent on a PM is quite rude. All you have to do is say "thanks for the offer but I'm not interested in what you have for trade" or something like that.

Jarrod could also have simply thought to himself "gee, he didn't reply. He must not be interested in what I have or maybe he's just an asshole, either way, oh well" and just let it go. Just like you could have said to yourself "hmm, this Jordan guy looks like a dick, so I don't think I'll do any deals with him" and moved on, but instead you decided to stick your nose where it doesn't belong and do your best Miss Manners impression. I guess we all could have done things differently. |
Just saying, it's polite BST etiquette to reply to a fellow member who reached out to you (whether you make a deal or not). Might not make a deal with Jarrod today, but you could plant the seed for a potential future deal. Jarrod is always picking up great cards!

That escalated quickly.

+2 - Weak stuff, Jordan.

Yes, I get it, I'm an awful person not fit for polite society. I didn't realize the simple act of not responding to a single open ended PM from someone was a cardinal sin.
It occasionally happens that someone doesn't reply to one of my PMs. When that happens, I just assume that the other person wasn't interested in making a deal or maybe had something else going on where he read my message and forgot to reply, and then I move on. I don't take it personally - no harm, no foul. Now I've learned that the correct thing to do is wait a week, passive-aggressively shit in the other guy's ad, and wait for the ladies from the sewing circle to dogpile the scofflaw. |

I get it. I should have just said "no thanks" to Jarrod's one PM. Honestly, I was on vacation when I got his message and didn't see anything that needed an urgent reply or looked like a deal was about to made. I hate using net54 on my phone, so I just mentally bookmarked it to reply to when I got home to my laptop. I forgot about it, and he certainly never sent another message to politely remind me or inquire further. I don't think it's out of line for me to take offense at Jarrod coming in here a week later with that passive-aggressive crap over literally nothing, or be annoyed by the tut-tutting from a bunch of other people who have absolutely no involvement at all other than as members of the peanut gallery. |
Jordan - Honestly, you suck.
Your responses are so much worse than the (relatively minor) issue of not responding to the original PM. What is wrong with you? Leon should ban you from the site. Please stop responding so we can all move on. |

Scofflaw: a person who flouts the law, especially by failing to comply with a law that is difficult to enforce effectively.
(In case anyone was in the same boat as I was). |
What was the offer?
|
Wow, I missed all of this until someone PM'd me about it.
Jordan, we had discussed one other deal awhile back and you stopped replying on that as well (even when I was wanting to buy your card outright). So my comment was based on two interactions. But don't worry, you won't have another PM from me. |

I looked through my inbox and the last pre-Cobb chain of messages we exchanged had nothing to do with an outright sale. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, but I think you're mistaken. I'm genuinely sorry that you don't think I gave you the attention you deserve, but I think your whole drive-by stir the pot routine is ruder than anything I have or haven't done. |
That’s fine, we can agree to disagree. :)
But in all seriousness, “drive by stir-the-pot routine” is one of the funniest phrases I’ve read in awhile. Tucking that away for later use. And the Cobb is really nice for the grade. |
