Wikipedia describes the Great Roxbury Fire of May 16, 1894. 118 buildings destroyed. It was home of the Boston Beaneaters... And the fire began about the same time Baltimore's John McGraw precipitated a fight with Boston's Tommy Tucker by stomping Tucker's head as he tagged Tucker out at third base....
