Question about jsa Beckett authentication
Hey guys, I’m looking at buying a card that was Jsa authenticated by Beckett. My question is, why won’t jsa’s authentication number show up on jsa’s website. It will only show the Beckett’s number on Beckett’s website. Thanks

Jimmy Spence did some autograph authentication for SGC many years ago before they started their own service and the items were encapsulated with a notation that the autograph was authenticated by him.
I am not familiar with him doing any authentication for Beckett but perhaps he did before they started their own service as with SGC. I just do not remember it if he did. If he did, the number would not show in his database as only his company's certs show in his system. Can you show a pic of the certificate? Might help clarify it. |
I just dealt with that with a autograph Nellie fox 59 keystone combo card that had a jsa-beckett slab. Problem was the number on the slab didn't match either Jsa or Beckett it was for another player and a autograph bat at that. I contacted the seller and they pulled it. Might have been a fake slab for sure. Maybe that guy Jose from California.

Spence moved to Beckett briefly as well. Try Beckett database

Fairly common phenomenon. For whatever reason the JSA certs on the SGC and Beckett slabs did not make it onto their online database. If you have any concerns about the item just call JSA and ask them.
