1970's HOF's & Stars Help Please
10 Attachment(s)
I came across about 75 binder sleeves full of Hall of Famers and stars up to and around 1980. They are not in the best condition but there is a ton of them. What is probably the best way to unload these? Should I group into auction lots or is there still interest in mid grade singles in this condition? I attached some samples of what I am working with. Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks for the help. By the way, all is available.

Do you have anything from 1973? I bought a complete set and some of the stars are in pretty rough shape. I’d like to upgrade.

Sadly, there's not a lot of value there. A couple of the cards may get some interest, but the great majority can be picked up for nothing. My advice is to do eBay searches for a bunch of these cards and check out only the SOLD prices. (Listing prices don't matter at all, because they are essentially useless as data. Anyone can ask whatever they want for a card, but it only counts if someone willingly pays said price.) That'll give you an idea of what similar cards sell for, and will help you move forward.
Now, for a personal opinion. I would assemble them into a bunch of groups of different cards/years/etc., in relatively small lots, and sell them that way. A nice little variety of 70's-80's HOF'ers. Good luck! |

Ahhhh....the cards of my youth. 70s through early 80s.
I'd break them down by year and list them on the BST. The only real value in those cards is if you have any real high grade copies. |
